Christmas Dolls

Sunday, December 26. 2021 18:18 Admin Comments (0)

So here they are - the dolls that entered my collection this Christmas.

I had wanted Poppy Parker Beach Babe as soon as I heard about her release. So I bought her as a Christmas present for myself as soon as she was out. The doll on the right is a Nu Face basic doll - also from Integrity Toys. The basic versions of these dolls are quite affordable. Normally Integrity Dolls are very pricey and hard to get.
Polly and Nadja

And another BJD. My husbnad wanted her - so here shhe is. Minifee Klaus - a vampire elf.
Reyna

And even more BJDs. They were not intended as Christmas dolls but were bought second hand on eBay, but as they arrived on Christmas Eve I think they wanted to be Christmas dolls.

She is our first Iplehouse doll - legit whith COA - an Iplehouse JiD. She is a little taller than our Minifees, but can share most of the outfits and shoes and wigs.
Ipsy

I've had the body for some time with an unpainted sleeping head. And I really wanted an elf head for it. Finally I found the Juri13 Event Head with Rakeru Sensei Face up. I think she looks sweet and fits the Moe Line body wonderfully.
Baby Elf

Last but not least the Christmas Doll from my husband - he said it would be the last doll I ever got as a present from him (because I already have too many dolls). It's the Barbie fashionista 172- I love her face but the lack of articulation is terrible. I don't mind that so much in my older dolls, but if I buy a new doll it must be articulated and poseable. So I started looking for a new body - and I found it - Barbie Yoga. of course I hat to buy two dolls - one to keep as she is and the other as a body donor.

It's Christmas Time

During Christmas Time many of the dolls decided to wear Christmas sweaters. I realized that over the past years I had collected (bought or made) many 1/4 scale Xmas outfits. So here they are:

But as soon as Christmas was over they changed into more modern and more comfy outfits. here are just three of my most stylish girls - wearing steet style outfits. Introducing Lilith - Minifee Celine Head on a Shuga Fairy body.

New Dolls (Part 3)

Just in time for Christmas these two charming girls arrived from the Netherlands. I had wanted them fro oer a year and finally I decided to buy them. I think they really look like Victorian Carol Singers. The girl on the left is one of the older Barbies that I already had, dresses in Victorian style clothes from the flea market - holding place for a third carol Singer that I'm still looking for.

Victorian Elegance Barbie and Jultide Romace Barbie

More BJD Mania

Let me introduce the rest of the BJDs that I bought in 2021 - it really was the year of BJDs - they were completelly in my focus.

Minifee Niella and Minifee Alicia.
Stubs and Nella

Minifee Momo ( with face up by me - my first and probably only face up on resin) and Minifee Sarang.
Nicki and Honey

Minifee Mirwen and another Minifee Celine.
Mirwen and Pia

Feeple 65 - Siean Elf ( the tallest girl in the collection now - 62 cm height)
SD (Seraphine Delphine)

New Dolls (Part 2)

More new dollies entered my collection:

I bought Batman for my husband as a birthday present and at the same time added Barbie Astronaut to my astronaut collection.
Batmand and Astronaut Barbie 1996

The girls are two rebodying experiments. I had Fashionista 142 lying around for some time and finally found a suitable body for her on ebay. Fashionista 82 had been on my wish list for some time - I love her white flocked hair. I also found a suitable body for her. I must say I love the diversity of faces and skin tones of the barbie fashionistas, but the lack of articulation is terrible,so I only buy them if I have or can find a suitable articulated body.
Imogen and Grace

I found two more dolls ( Rei and Erso Jyn at the ComicCon in Stuttgart this year. I decided to rebody them, because the molded on outfits are terrible. The bodies are alredy in the house, waiting to be used.
Forces of Destiny collection

I bought another Rainbow hHigh doll. I must say I love the articulation and the outfits, but I don't like the big heads so much.

More BJD Mania

I've had Freya for quite some time. We bought her second hand on Ebay and after some time I redid part of her face up. She also needed a littel experimenting with eyes and wig. But I think she turned out quite well now. Freya is a Minifee Siean Elf.
Meet Freya

Isy is a Minifee Sircca. She likes to wear street style outfits.
Isy or Izzy ( not sure yet, how to write her name)

Two more MoeLine dolls entered the collection - Billy ( Minifee Rens) and DC ( Minifee Chloe)
Cookie with her two new friends - Billy and DC

Superhero Girls Calendar - November

Cheetah went to the Xmas market which opened at the End of November ( in Dollietown - in the real world there are no Xmas Markets). She had a lot of fun with her friends there. She liked the sweets stall most - especially waffers with cream.

Trick or Treat

New dolls (1)

Sunday, October 10. 2021 15:20 Admin Comments (0)

For a few months I have been buying different dolls and haven't got around introducing them. So let's get started:

I bought another LOL OMG doll ( my third one) first because I needed another dressing room to finish the LOL boutique and second because she gave me Betty Boop vibes.
LOL Camp Cutie and her little sister, Babe in the Woods

I'm not a BTS fan, so for a long time I didn't want any of the dolls - but the clothes are great, also for girls. I decided to keep Jay because I do not have many boys in my collection.
Jay Hope - love his suit.

The first flea markets took place after a long lockdown. I found a MTM body for very little money. The head was in a very bad condition, but the body was still OK - so I decided to give it another head. I like the Barbie fashionista heads, but the lack of articulation puts me off buying them. So this was a great chance to create a new doll.
Meet Wynona.

I love DC Superhero girls and they go with me on every holiday trip. So, I decided I needed some backup dolls - just in case...
Double Trouble

BJD mania.

For a long time I wasn't sure I wanted BJDs. But now I'm obsessed. They are so pretty and they pose wonderfully. You can customize them easily. I buy most of the dolls second hand from eBay. They are recast dolls. As someone I know said - I'm pro doll - recast or legit - all dolls are beautiful.
Minifee recast dolls - Moe line Celine dolls. Amazing how diferent they look although they have both got the same face mold. Meanwhile they both got new wigs.
Cookie and Crumbs in summer outfits from Etsy

I bought Mirwen on eBay - we are still looking for the suitable wig.
Mirwen in pink - I think she likes the colour.

Minifee Chloe - A-line. She still has high heel feet - I don't know if she will keep them as I like my dolls better with flat feet. The wig suits her although it is a little long.
Ginger likes coffee.

Bubbles is my only legit doll so far - from Resinsoul. She is a water Elf. Meanwhile she has got a new wig, new eyes and lashes.
Bubbles likes water.

Lunula has been with me for a while. She ist taller than the other girls ( Feeple 60). I was not sure first if I should buy her because I was afraid she might be too big. But she is not taller than my Tonner American Model girls. She can even wear share some clothes with them and I could find shoes for her on Amazon.
Luni is dreaming.

Short Holiday Trip (Part 4)

Wednesday, August 25. 2021 19:26 Admin Comments (0)

Late on Thursday afternoon we arrived at the hotel in Weißenfels. The girls liked the hotel room.

On Friday we walked about the town and did a little shopping. The girls enjoyed the little break by the famous fountain in the middel of Weißenfels.

On Saturday we left towards home. Before leaving we had the unexpected opportunity to see the inside of the Gloria Film Palace. An old film building that was built in the 1920's when the first silent films were shown. It was in use until 1991 as a cinema and then until 1998 as a disco.

At the entrance you can still see the announcement for one of the last parties before the disco was closed. There are plans to rebuild everything although it is not yet clear how the building will be used in the future.

Short Holiday trip (Part 3)

On Thursday we left the hotel in Caputh ( near Potsdam). On the way we stopped by the Einstein house. Unfortunatelly it is open only at weekends, so we couldn't visit it but Harley wanted some photos in front of the house.
Harley Quinn meets Einstein

Harley in front of the Einstein house in Caputh.

A few kms from Caputh there is an interesting lost place - Bad Beelitz. In the 1920s it was built as a hospital for people who had tuberculosis. It used to be very modern at that time. The treatments were also modern. They really tried to cure the illness and not just to put the ill people away. During WW2 it was used as a hospital for the soldiers and later, after the war, it was a soldier hospital for the Russians. Today all the buildings are ruins, but you can still see how beautiful they used to be. There are plans to rebuild some of the buildings.

Harley liked the place - it reminded her of Arkham Asylum.

There is a tree top walk - so that you can see all the area and all the buildings from high up.
Starfire on the tree top walk.

Behind Bumblebee you can see the end of the tree top walk.

Short Holiday Trip (Part 2)

After doing nothing on Tuesday - the weather was very cold an rainy so we couldn't do anything outside and all the inside locations were full and had to be booked in advance - we booked our tickets for the Biosphere in Potsdam for Wednesday. The Biosphere is a little tropical paradise in the middle of the town. The girls had a lot of fun. The tropical temperatures inside were completely different from the cloudy and windy weather outside.

While waiting to get inside - Harley had to climb an old mammoth root in front of the building.
Welcome to the Biosphere

We walked through a tropical paradise, full of plants and exotic animals.
Tropical waterfall.

Starfire was impressed by the waterfall.

1-2-3 turtles

Big fish

Green Gecko

Boa

Bumblebee was impressed by the huge bamboo.

Unfortunatelly there were no monkeys to be seen

Harley rode a tiger

I was very impressed by the colourful butterflies in the butterfly house.

Then we went under the water in a submarine.
Starfire liked the corals ...

... and Harley the fish.

Here are some more pictures of the girls in the Biosphere.

Short Holiday Trip 2021

Sunday, August 22. 2021 22:16 Admin Comments (0)

After a long time of staying at home we finally had a short holiday this year. It was only inside Germany because we didn't want to take any risks. So we just went by car to Potsdam and spend a few days there.
On the first day we went to visit the town and do a little shopping and in the afternoon we spent some time in the park of Sanssouci.

As always we had some of the girl with us. First of all Harley, who always goes with us on holiday. She chose to take Starfire and Bumblebee with her this time.

The girls liked the walk around Potsdam - so many old buildings.

Hello! Welcome to Potsdam!

Harley is a castle expert and the building behind her "Is not a castle" :-)
This is not a castle - Ha Ha

See the next picture...

This is Sanssouci. On Mondays the castle is closed, but you can still visit the park.

Harley liked the park, with its different buildings. There was a church that looked like the ones in Italy (she remembers those) and there was a windmill.

Bumblebee was impressed by the fountains and the gold.

Starfire liked the plants and the Neptune Grotto.

The girls took a little rest at the end of the visit.

Superhero Girls Calendar - August

The doll for August is Katana. She likes to train with her sword whenever she has time. I repainted har face because I didn't want her to have to wear a mask all the time.

Superhero Girls Calendar - July

Wednesday, July 28. 2021 13:56 Admin Comments (0)

The DC Superheroes Girl for July is Frost. She likes cold weather more of course, so in the warmer July days she is looking for a place to cool down and the best place is of course the pool.

Frost looking for a cooler place in the pool.
