News from my Doll World

Elvish Photo Shooting

As the weather was finally good and sunny at the beginning of this week, we decided to go out on a little trip and take some nice photos. We visited Burg Hornberg. A great castle ruin located not far away from the place we live. The famous Knight, Götz of Berlichingen, lived there a long time ago but now of course there are only ruins left.

The warm and sunny weather was very suitable for this little outing. And the old ruins turned out to be more magical than expected.

We were welcomed by a little Elf. She told us that her name was Ophelia – she was a Flower Elf and she showed us around.

She was very proud of the herb garden- although not many things were growing so early in the spring, she still showed us the different plants that would grow there in the course of the year and explained what they could be used for.

Ophelia brought us to the Lady of the Castle – an Elf called Willow.

Willow told us a few things about the history of the castle and how the Elves had started living there after it had been left by humans and become a ruin.

Finally, when we were about to leave, we met Pixie. Pixies are little elvish creatures who like to play tricks on humans – remember Puck from „A Midsummer Night’s Dream“ by W. Shakespeare? So, I suppose we were lucky that she was in a good mood on that day and only threw her little glittery shoes at us to make us pay attention to her. Because, as you can see, she likes to sit high up on beams and trees , so you do not easily notice her.

The three Elves allowed us to take a photo of all of them together before leaving.

We asked if there were other Elves in the castle. They did not answer. They told us to come back again another time and find out for ourselves. So … see you again during our next visit little Elves.

P.S. Just some Behind the Scenes images.

Happy Easter

It’s Easter again and everything in Dollietown is about Easter Bunnies and presents and eating. So, let’s see what’s going on.

First I cleaned the house and decorated it with Easter Eggs and Bunnies – the girls helped me a lot.

Although it was still quite cold during the last few days, it was very clear spring was coming and everything started to bloom. Inside the porch ….

… and outside.

To decorate the house you can buy flowers from a shop …

… or directly from the field.

The Easter Bunny is a must, but finding him can be quite a challenge.

Sometimes it is misleading …

.. and he is not easy to catch.

Lambs and sheep are also typical at Easter.

Good Friday is a bank holiday in Germany. So we went for a walk. The weather was chilly, but not bad. Some of the girls enjoyed the little outing.

Easter Sunday started with an Egg Hunt.

Later we went for a walk. The weather was quite windy so taking photos was a little challenging.

But we enjoyed the beautifully decorated market place.

There is always time for Easter Coffee.

And of course there is a new Easter Doll.

Frida Kahlo immersive experience

I finally did it – went to my first immersive experience. I must say I still prefer real paintings, but it was an interesting experience, a great addition to the real works of ar that I was so lucky as to see a few years ago.

Of course my Frida Kahlo collector Barbie accompanied me.

After the exhibition we had lunch. it was not really Mexican, but had a few elements …

… the Tijuana bowl.

New Year resolutions

Do you also make them ?…. New Year resolutions are as common in the doll world as they are in the human world.

So the gym in Dollietown has oppened again for the dolls to train. There are a few new attractions. Well, the dolls always need new things to have fun.

Welcome to the Gym !

There are more bicycle ergometers …..

… a punching bag …

… a treadmill…

… and many other possibilites to train.

Harley is responsible for animating.

If the girls want to relax – and I suspect, some like relaxing more than training – there is a bar area.

The greatest attraction is the new climbing wall.

So … enjoy your training girls!

Happy New Year 2026 !

This time it was again a trip around New Year’s Eve.

As we had liked Augsburg so much 2 years ago, we decided to go there again and take some dollies with us. We decided on Frankie(1) and Draculaura(1) from the G3 series. They made very good companions.

We arrived in Augsburg on Monday 29th. After checking in we went to a little bakery that I had seen many times but somehow never managed to visit.

For the first time we tried some Pumpkin Spice Latte.

They also had very good organic bretzels.

After a trip to a huge toy shop – where of course we bought quite a few things! We visited the “ Winterland“ a little Christmas market open until the 6th of January.

It was very cold, but with hot food and spiced wine we didn’t feel the cold so much anymore.

The next day after breakfast we visited a nice art exhibition in the Glas Palace – a former textile factory turned into a modern art gallery.

We walked about the city and enjoyed the different places.

As it was very cold we were grateful to finally reach the shopping mall which was still beautifully decorated with lights .

We did some shopping and then went to the cinema. The girls enjoyed Zootopia2 a lot.

On the last day of the year we went for another walk . We enjoyed a little labyrinth made of bushes – not so impressive without leaves- and then walked along the city wall.

In the evening we went to a New Year’s Eve party….

… while the dolls enjoyed a quiet evening in the hotel room.

On the 1st of January we had breakfast late and then went for a walk along the river Lech. It was still very cold but luckily quite sunny.

In the evening we went to a nice Thai Restaurant with vegan food and were thankful for the hot jasmine tea and the hot soup.

Merry Christmas

It’s Christmas time again, which means a huge Xmas market in Dollietown. We have different stalls that offer food and drinks.

There is a stage with different performances .

You can go on a ride in a horse drawn sleigh or coach.

There is an ice skating rink.

And a merry go round.

Shopping for presents is a very important thing . You can always find something interesting for yourself or your friends.

Santa is also there of course.

And his little helpers give out sweets…

… or bring Christmas postcards to everyone.

The Christmas circus is also in town.

Some dolls find human Xmas markets more interesting.

Baking is very important, because… what is Christmas without cookies, right.

Sometimes the Dollies also help their humans to bake cookies.

Tasting is also very important.

especially if the cookies have your favourite shape.

Wearing the right outfit is essencial – ugly sweaters are always in fashion.

On Xmas Eve there is always a big party.

This year with special appearance by Bea y los Elfos.

Willow and Fiona played an extra piece because everyone enjoyed the show so much.

Getting up late and then eating cookies and drinking hot chocolate in front of the fireplace – wearing Xmas pyjamas- is typical for Christmas morning.

On Christmas Day everyone enjoys a delicious dinner.

Of course there are presents – meet my new girl.

Happy Halloween

During the spooky season the dollies had a lot of fun. Here are just a few impressions.

The motto this year was – Fantasy … I surely have some Lord of the Ring vibes.

The girls did a lot of crafting for Halloween.

What is better on Halloween night than watch a good horror movie.

Or go to the Casta Fierce concert – if you were so lucky to get a ticket.

Harley’s Little Black Holiday Book – (Part III) Potsdam

Our holiday by the North Sea is unfortunatelly over, but my humans decided they didn’t want to go home directly but spend a few days in Potsdam. It turned out to be quite fun.

We had one last breakfast in Büsum.

… and then went directly to Potsdam. We arrived there in the late afternoon, checked in our hotel and, while our humans went out for dinner, Red and I played games in the hotel room. Red said I cheated all the time, but this is not true 😉

Day 2- walk through Potsdam

On the next day we went on a walk about town.

Day 3 – Cecilienhof

On Sunday Mommy wanted to visit a park with many interesting buildings. It turned out to be a lot of fun.

There were lots of plants for Red …

… and some art for me.

The grotto was closed for renovation, but I had fun anyway.

A view of the lake.

Stop at the brewery.

Unfortunately many of the buildings were closed for renovation, so we will have to come back some other time when they are finished.

Bye Bye Potsdam.

So, dear diary – these were my holiday adventures this year. I’ll surely have new thing to write next year.
