Day 8 – Büsum
I finally have some time to go on with my blog.
There was a wine festival in Büsum the whole weekend so my humans decided to go there. We watched a play of street theatre

Afterwards we went to the beach. Büsum has no sand but a grass beach – this was unusual. We chilled on the grass for some time and then tried out a beach chair.

We were quite surprised that there was no sea water. Mommy told us that it was low tide and then you can walk on the sea ground so we did that. The North Sea really seems to have a special kind of beach.

Day 9 – Hallig Hooge
Mommy was ready to get on board a ship again. She said that it was because on this route the ship stays near the coast so there are no high waves. We visited a Hallig – that is a kind of very flat island that is often flooded, so people can only live on the higher spots of the islands. Mommy said it would be interesting. I could wear my captain’s cap again so it was OK for me to do this trip.

Red was fascinated by the different plants she found on the island.

On the way back to Büsum we stopped in Husum. We were quite hungry and had a huge pizza.

We also walked about the harbour.

Day 10 – St Peter Ording
Finally a sandy beach. The weather was not very sunny in the morning, but got better in the afternoon. We spend a whole day on the beach. I could play in the sand.

We had a cold drink.

We walked through the dunes.

We ate ice cream.

I went swimming….

While Red bathed in the sun.

On the way home we stopped by the Eider Sperrwerk for a cool photo shoot.

Day 11- Büsum
During the morning we chilled because our humans wanted to do some shopping. But in the afternoon we visited a corn maze. It was exciting although it was quite hot and we only found half of the clues.

In the evening we ate fish and chips.

and went on a last walk around the harbour.

Day 12- Last day
As we had to pack our things we didn’t have much time to do other things. We only spend some time in the aquarium and a little museum about fishing.
